Big fan of Inferi and Symbolik here, so it is almost expected to like The Odious Construct as well. It is a very good tech-death band, so yes, it should not surprise you. This is a short EP, only 5 tracks, but damn me they are good. Waiting impatiently for a new release and full-length, if ever, so while waiting "Shrine..." will have to do. Melodic and technical, just like the two bands mentioned at the beginning, yet as original as tech-death can be.

Two impressive vocalists, variable and skilled guitarists and a tight and very powerful rhythm section. That plus the ability to write a song really leaves nothing left to desire here.

My first exposure to Inferi was seeing them live with Shadows of Intent. They were supporting this album. Unbelievably awesome live show and the greatest possible way to discover this amazing band. Love everything they produce.
